Sebastian Vettel had edged out Lewis Hamilton to finish top of the standings in the third practice session ahead of the Austrian Grand Prix.
The Ferrari driver finished just over a hundredth of a second ahead of the Championship leader, while Kimi Raikkonen finished marginally behind in third place.
Sergio Perez was fourth in the Force India, while Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg came home in fifth spot.
McLaren duo Fernando Alonso and Jenson Button, who both face grid penalties on Sunday, ended the session in 15th and 18th respectively.
