Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly come forward with a 'super offer' to sign Sporting Lisbon hotshot Viktor Gyokeres in the summer transfer window.

Tottenham Hotspur could reportedly come forward with a 'super offer' to sign Sporting Lisbon hotshot Viktor Gyokeres in the summer transfer window.

The 26-year-old is expected to be one of the most in-demand strikers of the upcoming window thanks to another magnificent 2025-26 campaign, in which he has produced an astounding 40 goals and 10 assists from 41 appearances.

Gyokeres is averaging over one goal per game in the 2024-25 Primeira Liga season, netting 28 times in just 25 matches as Sporting sit three points clear of Benfica at the top of the table.

Even though the Sweden international's contract runs for another three years, Sporting will likely be fighting a losing battle to keep hold of Gyokeres this summer as Europe's powerhouses come calling.

However, among the surprise contenders for Gyokeres's signature could be Tottenham, as Fichajes reports that the Lilywhites are prepared to go 'all out' for the Scandinavian's arrival this summer.

Spurs identify Gyokeres as top Harry Kane replacement?

The report adds that Ange Postecoglou's men could test Sporting's resolve with a 'super offer' for the ex-Coventry City man, who has been earmarked as the natural successor to Harry Kane.

Spurs' all-time record goalscorer departed for Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023, since when Richarlison and Dominic Solanke have filled the void up front, but the former has struggled for both form and fitness.

Solanke quickly became Postecoglou's number one centre-forward upon his £65m arrival from Bournemouth last summer, but the 27-year-old has not set the world alight, coming up with 11 goals in 33 games in all competitions.

As a result, Spurs supposedly feel that Gyokeres is capable of taking the team's attack to a new level, having seen the Swede register a total of 83 goals and 25 assists in 91 matches for Sporting.

The North London club are apparently ready to make a 'significant investment' to capture the Swede, who cost Sporting just £20.1m in 2023, but their perilous Premier League position will do them no favours.

A disheartening 2024-25 season has left Spurs in a miserable 14th place in the Premier League table, although they are into the Europa League quarter-finals, where they will take on Eintracht Frankfurt next month.

Which teams will Spurs have to battle for Gyokeres?

Gyokeres may not turn his nose up to joining Spurs if Postecoglou's side can qualify for the Champions League by winning the Europa League, and the same can be said for Manchester United.

Red Devils boss Ruben Amorim is believed to be desperate to reunite with Gyokeres following their successful partnership at Sporting, as Man United seek upgrades on the misfiring Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee.

Chelsea are also said to be closely monitoring the situation, but a separate report has suggested that Gyokeres would instead favour a move to one of Liverpool, Arsenal or Manchester City.

The Reds are on the brink of wrestling the title from the Sky Blues as they sit 12 points clear at the top of the Premier League table, while Arsenal are likely set for a third-straight second-placed finish.
