Nico Rosberg frustrated to miss out on second place

Mercedes driver Nico Rosberg reveals that he was frustrated by a late problem with his brakes that cost him second place in the Bahrain Grand Prix.

Nico Rosberg has admitted that he was hugely disappointed to miss out on second place in the Bahrain Grand Prix.

The German looked on course to secure the runners-up spot behind Lewis Hamilton, but sustained problems with his brakes which allowed Kimi Raikkonen to pass him on the penultimate lap and drop him down a place to third.

"To lose the second place just feels a bit unnecessary somehow," Rosberg told Sky Sports News.

"Just two laps from the end I got a bit of a brake problem and the pedal went straight down, there was no resistance anymore. I still had brakes, but the pedal just went down so I just went straight on and that was disappointing then."

Rosberg is second in the Formula 1 world championship, 27 points behind Hamilton.
