Current head of the FIA single-seater commission Gerhard Berger has denied speculation that he is to replace Norbert Haug as the head of Mercedes Motorsport.
Haug revealed last week that he was to step down from his position at Mercedes Motorsport, but despite being linked Berger was quick to rule himself out of the running.
"Absolutely not," Autosport quotes him as saying. "There have been no discussions at all.
"I do not know about that. It is not my position to judge that, and this will be done by the board."
Haug will leave his position at the end of this month.
