Scotland's Russell Knox claims World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions crown

Scotland's Russell Knox produces a four-under round of 68 on the final day of the tournament to claim the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions crown in Shanghai.

Scotland's Russell Knox clinched his maiden PGA Tour title by claiming the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions crown in Shanghai.

The 30-year-old began the day one shot off the pace of overnight leader Kevin Kisner, but he quickly got into his stride with two early birdies on the second and third holes, although a bogey on the fourth brought him back to the pack.

Knox held his composure to notch his third birdie of the day of the sixth, but once again committed another error to record a bogey on the ninth.

However, the Scot was flawless on the back nine as he made the charge for the crown with back-to-back birdies on the 10th and 11th and recorded another on the 16th hole.

Knox held his nerve to complete par putts on the final two holes to complete his victory by two shots ahead of Kisner due to his four-under display of 68 on the final round.

Kisner was only able to record a two-under card of 70, while England's Danny Willett produced the round of the day with a 10-under card of 62 to end joint-third with Ross Fisher.
