Shane Lowry has a one-shot lead in the Wales Open after carding a second-round 65 to overtake Joost Luiten into top spot.
Luiten took the outright lead at Celtic Manor yesterday, but has been pegged back to one shot behind after hitting a bogey on the second hole.
Nicolas Colsaerts also sits one shot behind on eight-under after he moved into contention with an eagle on his final shot in Newport.
Lowry improved on Friday by seeing out a blemish-free round with six birdies, while Lee Westwood had a mixed round by just avoiding the cut with a birdie on the final hole to finish on level par.
Stephen Gallacher, who was named as one of Paul McGinley's wildcard picks for the Europe Ryder Cup team earlier this month, failed to make the cut today following a one-under round, which placed him six-over overall.
