American golfer Cole Hammer will become the third-youngest golfer to play in the US Open this summer, at the age of 15.
Hammer came through local qualifying to earn his place in the 156-strong field who will compete for the second Major of the season next week.
"I've never been to a US Open before, I was just hoping to make the US Junior later this summer," Hammer told reporters.
"We didn't have any plans for that weekend, but I guess we do now."
China's Andy Zhang is the youngest player to ever play in the US Open after competing in 2012 at the age of 14.
