Arsenal fans to protest against board following rise in ticket prices

A number of Arsenal supporters plan to protest against a three per cent rise in ticket prices before Sunday's match against West Bromwich Albion.

A number of Arsenal supporters are planning to air their frustrations at the club's three per cent rise in ticket prices with a protest before Sunday's match.

Ahead of the Gunners' game against West Bromwich Albion at the Emirates, where they could seal Champions League qualification, supporters will meet outside the ground to vent their anger at majority shareholder Stan Kroenke.

Twitter account @Arsenal_Anon is leading the way for the protest, but have ensured that the action is not against the players or their efforts on the field.

The North London outfit has caused discontent among a number of supporters after announcing in January that ticket prices would increase by three per cent next season.

Arsenal Anon tweeted: "In a time where OUR club is receiving record tv & commercial deals, this 3% rise on ticket prices is an act of greed by the owner of AFC. Kroenke is squeezing the life out of fans. Preying on people's emotional attachment.

"We already pay the highest ticket prices in the country but it's now a case of 'If you can't afford it, someone else can & sod your loyalty'."

Some Category A matches this season have carried a cost of £123.50.
