Colin Kazim-Richards has been found guilty of making a homophobic gesture to Brighton & Hove Albion fans while playing for Blackburn Rovers last year.
The 27-year-old, who currently plays for Turkish side Bursaspor, made the gesture towards the crowd during a match at Falmer Stadium on February 12, 2013.
The Turkey international, who has been fined £1,445, had claimed that he was 'bantering' with the home fans.
Kazim-Richards spent one season at Brighton before joining Sheffield United in 2006.
