Young cancer survivor Jake Turton will reportedly lead out Bradford City at the League Cup final at Wembley.

Young cancer survivor Jake Turton has reportedly been chosen to lead out Bradford City in the League Cup final against Swansea City.

A number of football fans added their name to an online petition to get the youngster to be the main mascot for the clash at Wembley following their semi-final win over Aston Villa three weeks ago.

Jake is also thought to be joined by 12-year-old Ryan Siddall, who was born with a renal condition.

"We wanted to give both of these incredibly brave boys the opportunity to walk out with the team at Wembley and have a truly special day," a Bradford spokeswoman told the Daily Mail.

"We approached the Football League and asked if we could essentially have an extra mascot on the day as we didn't want to have to choose between Jake and Luke. The League have been very kind and understanding to enable us to do this."

The final kicks off at Wembley on February 24.
