Ugo Monye joins BT Sport rugby coverage

BT Sport sign up former England international Ugo Monye as their latest rugby pundit.

Former England international Ugo Monye has joined BT Sport as their latest rugby pundit after announcing that he is to retire at the end of the season.

The 31-year-old, who currently plays for Harlequins, confirmed on Monday that he would be hanging up his boots in the summer.

Monye's new role with BT Sport will see him cover the Aviva Premiership and European competitions, while he will also appear on the broadcaster's weekly show Rugby Tonight.

"I'm delighted to be joining BT Sport," he said. "The star-studded team which is currently in place boasts a wealth of experience and a vast amount of knowledge. BT have shown their intent in the last week by extending the domestic rights to 2021 and I am honoured to be a part of that journey moving forward."

BT Sport's current list of rugby experts includes Matt Dawson, Ben Kay, Lawrence Dallaglio and Brian O'Driscoll.
