Former Liverpool goalkeeper Pepe Reina has seen the funny side of the infamous beach ball incident from 2009 after a woman was quizzed about the event on an ITV gameshow.
Six years ago, Sunderland were awarded a goal against Liverpool when the ball bounced off a beach ball and into the back of Reina's net.
During a recent episode of quiz show The Chase, a female contestant was asked what the ball deflected off of to reach the net, and she decided to avoid the correct answer by choosing 'ice cream van' over the third option, which was a 'sunbathing German'.
Reina was reminded of the incident on Twitter and took the opportunity to have a laugh at the contestant, who claimed that the ice cream van could have been in place providing "refreshments".
