Manchester United have reportedly fined defender Marcos Rojo £140,000 for failing to renew his passport.
The Argentinian's error meant that he was unable to fly out and join his teammates on their pre-season tour of the United States after he was given an extended summer break for playing in the Copa America.
According to the Daily Mail, United boss Louis van Gaal was angry at Rojo's failure to show up and has fined the defender two weeks' wages.
In his debut season with the Red Devils, Rojo scored one goal in 26 appearances.
