Manchester United have reportedly been named as the most influential football club brand in the world.

The Premier League champions, who have numerous commercial deals tied up in the club, have taken the top spot above rivals Liverpool after it was decided by judges for website licensing.biz.

According to The Independent, one judge is said to have described the Red Devils as "the only truly global British football brand."

Over the past year, United have secured deals with the likes of Bwin, Santander and Fuji TV.
