Marseille midfielder Joey Barton put his football duties aside briefly to make his acting debut in French comedy short Rodeo Nuts.

The 30-year-old, who spent the season in Ligue 1 on loan from Queens Park Rangers, attempted to make light of a recent feud with French journalist Pierre Menes, who plays the midfielder's caddie in the film.

During the skit, Barton speaks in both English and French during a round of golf, while the midfielder's teammate Rod Fanni also appears in the short film.
