Former England footballer Paul Gascoigne has admitted that he has to take each day as it comes as he continues to deal with alcoholism.
The 46-year-old has been plagued with alcohol addiction for years and was sent to a rehab facility in Arizona in a bid to overcome his issues.
However, since then, the troubled star has been fined £1,000 for a drunken assault at a railway station in Stevenage in July.
"People say 'why do you drink?' I don't know, I didn't ask to be an alcoholic," the retired footballer said in an ITV documentary Being Paul Gascoigne.
"I'm an alcoholic. I wish I wasn't but I am. I have my bad days and if I have a good day I make the most of it. I don't know what tomorrow brings, or the next five minutes."
Gascoigne is alleged to have spent £4,000 on football bets last week.
