Andy Murray's mother Judy has insisted that her son is "great fun", but chooses to keep his private side away from the cameras.
The Wimbledon champion has previously been criticised for his stern demeanor, but Judy has insisted that he chooses to stay professional in the limelight.
"Andy is great fun," told The Clare Balding Show on BT Sport. "He just doesn't show it.
"Mostly what you see is the performance, you don't see what goes into the performance or how hard he works to get there, but you also don't see his private side because he chooses not to show that. He doesn't court fame and celebrity. He is a very sensitive guy and he is brilliant fun."
Murray recently underwent back surgery, which is likely to keep him out of action for the remainder of the season.
