The man who threw a beer bottle towards Olympic champion Usain Bolt has escaped a jail sentence, despite being found guilty of public disorder by the court.
Ashley Gill-Webb, who suffers from bipolar affective disorder, was handed the guilty verdict at Stratford Magistrates' Court last month following the incident, which occurred seconds before the start of the men's 100m final in the Olympic Stadium last summer.
The 34-year-old was told by the court that he will have to carry out eight weeks of community service and pay £1,500 in costs, according to the Daily Mail.
Gill-Webb avoided a prison sentence after the court was informed that he lost his job for forcing his way into the stadium without a ticket.
