Karim Benzema has been cleared to contact Mathieu Valbuena again, meaning that the Real Madrid striker will be available to be selected by hosts France at this summer's Euro 2016 finals.
Benzema has been under investigation for several months over an alleged blackmail attempt against fellow Frenchman Valbuena.
The Madrid man was not allowed to see Valbuena until today, when an appeal against lifting the ban was dismissed at a court hearing.
In response, the French Football Federation said in a statement: "[We] take note of the lifting of restrictions on Karim Benzema. It is a first stage.
"The FFF has also been recognised as a civil party and can therefore learn of all developments in the case as they happen."
France coach Didier Deschamps is scheduled to name a squad on Thursday ahead of friendlies against the Netherlands and Russia later this month.
