Didier Deschamps has reportedly been added to the shortlist of potential next Chelsea managers.
The 47-year-old is currently the head coach of the France national side, but his contract with Les Bleus is due to expire following the conclusion of this summer's European Championships.
That would leave him free to join the Blues, which has alerted owner Roman Abramovich and the Stamford Bridge board, according to The Mirror.
The West Londoners are on the hunt for a permanent boss to replace Jose Mourinho following his sacking late last year, with interim manager Guus Hiddink expected to depart at the end of the season.
Deschamps, who has previously managed AS Monaco, Juventus and Marseille, won the FA Cup in 2000 during his one season as a player with Chelsea.
