Swansea City captain Ashley Williams appears to have deleted his Twitter account following numerous threatening messages from Michael Chopra.

The Wales international was targeted by the former Blackpool striker on the social networking website on Saturday.

The 30-year-old tweeted the defender saying: "dm me ur number need to speak to u u no wat it's about."

Chopra continued messaging Williams to no reply before seeking out his teammate Wayne Routledge and asking him to get the defender, whom he described as a "fucking mug", to get in touch.
