The odds on English golfer Justin Rose's chances of being named the Sports Personality of the Year have been slashed following his US Open victory.
William Hill have made the 32-year-old second favourite to take the award with odds of 9/2, while British number one Andy Murray is leading the betting at 9/4.
Team Sky rider Chris Froome is also in the running with 6/1 odds as he is expected to lead the line for the Tour de France this year.
"We have already had a fantastic US Open, propelling yet another Brit into the sporting headlines, although with plenty of action in the coming weeks, Justin Rose could find himself next week's chip wrapping if Murray wins Wimbledon and Froome wins the Tour de France," said William Hill spokesman Joe Crilly.
Meanwhile, Rose is currently 20/1 to win the Open Championship at Muirfield later this year.
