West Bromwich Albion striker Peter Odemwingie reportedly invited a supporter to his home after reading his blog via Twitter.

David Homer expressed his sadness in a piece about Odemwingie's fall down the ranks at The Hawthorns as an 'open letter' to the striker, who noticed the blog on the social network website.

The Nigerian later sent a direct message to the supporter inviting him to his home, where he gave David a signed shirt and a pair of the forward's football boots, according to the Birmingham Mail.

Meanwhile, reports have suggested that Odemwingie will leave the club in the summer following his failed January move to Queens Park Rangers.
