Catalans Dragons halfback Scott Dureau has admitted that he is relieved to be back playing after recovering from a brain tumour.

The Australian, who has been sidelined for the past nine months, returned to action on Saturday as the Dragons thrashed London Broncos 46-18 in Super League.

"I didn't really know what my future held at first, if I would survive the next week let along play footy again," Dureau told Sky Sports News.

"It was a scary time but I'm here now, feeling good as it's been a pretty frustrating and scary five months. It's great to be back amongst the team."

Dureau joined Catalans in 2011 following a three-year spell with Newcastle Knights.
