Paul Anderson: "The best team won"

Paul Anderson says that Warrington Wolves were deserved winners over his Huddersfield Giants team at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

Huddersfield Giants coach Paul Anderson has admitted that the better team prevailed in last night's Super League semi-final clash with Warrington Wolves.

The Yorkshire team won the league leaders' shield for the first time in their history this season, but fell at the final hurdle in their quest to reach the Grand Final, losing 30-22 at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.

"The best team won," Sky Sports News quotes the 41-year-old as saying. "We didn't get ourselves into enough opportunities near their tryline.

"We gave them too many metres and they beat us around the ruck, which is something we'll have to look at."

The Wolves await the winners of tonight's second semi-final between Wigan Warriors and Leeds Rhinos.
