Huddersfield Giants captain Danny Brough has revealed that he will reject the opportunity to represent England at the end-of-season World Cup if he is included in the squad.
Brough was in contention to be called up for the game against the Exiles a week on Friday, and a good performance during this evening's 25-16 win over St Helens appeared to strengthen his position.
However, the 30-year-old has instead made himself available for Scotland - whom he captained during the 2008 World Cup - due to repeated snubs by the England management.
"I don't want to be in it, that's definite. I'm not playing second fiddle every year," said Brough.
"I'm going to play for Scotland if I get the opportunity. I've spoken to Steve and told him I'm available."
Brough was called up to the England squad for last season's finale against the Exiles but was omitted from the elite training squad this season.
