The Wakefield Wildcats have confirmed that they have rejected an offer from Hull Kingston Rovers for Ben Cockayne.
Head coach Richard Agar said that Wakefield had no interest in Hull assistant Chris Chester's offer that involved players in a swap.
"Chris Chester approached me and offered a deal involving players we were not interested in, so I didn't view it as a serious offer," he told the Hull Daily Mail.
"Obviously, as coach, Ben is a player I want to keep at the club and would not want to leave. Obviously, if a serious offer came in, that would be out of my hands and something for the board to consider."
Cockayne left Hull in 2011 after being sacked.
