Jamie Peacock, Sean O'Loughlin and Danny Brough have been shortlisted for Super League's 'Man of Steel' award.
It has been 10 years since Leeds Rhinos' veteran Peacock, 35, won the accolade while playing for Yorkshire rivals Bradford Bulls.
Wigan Warriors captain O'Loughlin and Huddersfield Giants skipper Brough will provide stern competition, with the winners being announced on September 30.
Also revealed was the Rugby Football League's three-man shortlist for young player of the year, with Ben Crooks (Hull FC), Kieran Dixon (London Broncos) and Morgan Escare (Catalan Dragons) being nominated.
