Argentina flanker Pablo Matera pleased to get off mark at Rugby World Cup

Pablo Matera tells Sports Mole that he is "happy" to have seen Argentina pick up their first win at the 2015 World Cup in front of a strong following.

Pablo Matera has declared himself "happy" with Argentina's 54-9 victory over Georgia at the Rugby World Cup.

Los Pumas picked up their first win at this year's tournament thanks to a storming second-half display in Gloucester.

Argentina crossed over six times following the restart to finally mark their arrival at the competition in front of a packed Kingsholm Stadium.

Matera was full of praise for the support his side received, telling Sports Mole: "We had a lot of fans here and also at Wembley last time.

"I am really grateful to the people of Argentina for coming out here to support us - it is a big help for the team. I hope that we continue to have lots of support for the remainder of our games."

Asked about the task Argentina faced on the back of a tight first half, in which just two points separated the teams, the flanker added: "They are a really physical side.

"We knew it was going to be difficult and we had to work hard to get there. They have some big players, so I am happy with the job we done."

Argentina take on Tonga at the Leicester City Stadium in their next outing in nine days' time.
