Graham Rowntree: 'England must focus on beating Italy'

Graham Rowntree insists that England will only be focused on securing a win over Italy in Rome on Saturday.

Graham Rowntree has insisted that England will not be thinking about the Six Nations title when they play Italy on Saturday.

Due to Ireland's points advantage, England are likely going to need to beat Italy by a big margin if they are to be crowned Six Nations winners this weekend but Rowntree claims that the team are only focusing on securing a win.

"We'll have to play well on Saturday to beat them and that's all we're focusing on, beating them. A lot has been said about the scoreline, but we're going over there to beat them," the forwards coach told reporters.

"There aren't many teams who have gone over there and smashed Italy. They just don't let you do that. In the last couple of games against them we've scored only one try in the two games."

Should Ireland beat France in the late game on Saturday, England must have won by at least 50 points in Rome to have any chance of winning the Six Nations.
