Brian Smith reveals his delight at the London Irish forwards' performance against Worcester Warriors.

London Irish director of rugby Brian Smith has praised his players for their 26-6 win over Worcester Warriors that saw them move five points clear of the Premiership drop zone.

Smith picked out the forwards as the key performers in the victory, calling it their best performance of the season.

"I'm delighted with the performance today," Sky Sports News quotes Smith as saying. "For our forwards, it was their best of the season, especially coming after being routed up at Northampton.

"We've got four games remaining now and we've not been looking over our shoulder all season.

"We are a real handful at home and if we can win those last four games, there's no reason why we can't finish as high as eighth."

Irish face 11th-placed Sale Sharks next Saturday.
