Saracens director of rugby Mark McCall has confirmed that Jacques Burger has agreed a new contract extension with the club.
The Namibian skipper joined Saracens in 2009, but he has missed the entirety of this campaign with a serious knee injury.
The 29-year-old underwent surgery in South Africa in order to correct the problem, but it is understood that he is still a couple of weeks away from making a return.
"Jacques personifies the spirit and physicality of our pack, and we can't wait to see him back in action, doing what he does best," McCall told the club's official website.
Burger has made 48 appearances for Saracens.
