England international Chris Ashton scores two tries on his debut as Saracens beat London Irish 40-3 at Twickenham in the Aviva Premiership.

Saracens have got their Aviva Premiership season off to a flier with a 40-3 win against London Irish at Twickenham.

Irish were powerless to stop Saracens running in four tries, watched by a crowd of over 60,000 in the second part of a London double header.

England international Chris Ashton scored a brace on his debut and gave Saracens fans their first glimpse of the famous swallow dive celebration.

Centre Brad Baritt and replacement Nils Mordt were both on the scoresheet to ensure Saracens got the crucial bonus point in a convincing display.

Charlie Hodgson finished the job with the boot as he moved over the 2,000 point mark in the top division of English rugby.
