Leigh Halfpenny "enjoying" life at Toulon

Wales full-back Leigh Halfpenny says that he is happy to remain at French club Toulon, but insists all he is focusing on right now is the upcoming Rugby World Cup.

Leigh Halfpenny has dismissed suggestions that he could leave Toulon, claiming that he is feeling settled in France.

The Wales international was said to be considering his future due to concerns over his availability.

Toulon owner Mourad Boudjellal has previously hinted that the full-back would have to seek a new club if he intended to represent the Red Dragons on their tour of New Zealand next year.

Halfpenny is unconcerned by suggestions of falling out of favour, however, and is now ready to focus all his attention on helping his national side in the upcoming Rugby World Cup.

"Being in France is different from Wales in terms of the culture, the playing style and the language," he is quoted as saying by Wales Online.

"I'm enjoying learning the language and playing rugby out there. For me, it's all about learning something new to make me a better player every time I take to the rugby field, whether it's for matches or training.

"At this moment in time all I'm focusing on is the World Cup. We want to go one step further than we did in 2011, by getting to the final and lifting the trophy as winners."

Halfpenny has the option of staying with Toulon for another season after the end of the next term.
