Warren Gatland positive despite Australia defeat

Warren Gatland says that Wales can take positives from their 33-28 defeat against Australia.

Wales coach Warren Gatland has insisted that his team can take plenty of positives, despite losing to Australia.

The Wallabies won 33-28 at the Millennium Stadium to complete a 10th successive victory over the principality. However, Gatland is adamant that there were good elements to build on.

He told BBC Sport: "We've scored four tries to three and I thought we went out there and played some really positive rugby.

"To be honest I'm pretty positive about the performance.

"I look back on the tries they scored and we missed a couple of one-on-one tackles, which is disappointing, and we've thrown an intercept so a huge number of positives for us to build on that performance."

Wales welcome Fiji to Cardiff next Saturday before the visit of the All Blacks in a fortnight's time.
