Canada's Katerine Savard edges out O'Connor to win butterfly gold

Canada's Katerine Savard wins gold in the women's 100m butterfly at the Commonwealth Games, narrowly beating out England's Siobhan-Marie O'Connor.

Canada's Katerine Savard edged out Team England's Siobhan-Marie O'Connor to claim gold in the women's 100m butterfly at the Commonwealth Games this evening.

The 21-year-old just managed to beat O'Connor in the final metres to clinch the medal, breaking the Games record in the process with a time of 57.40s.

O'Connor secured her third silver medal of the Games with a time of 57.45s, while Australia's Emma McKeon took the bronze.

England's Rachael Kelly and Wales's Jemma Lowe finished in fifth and sixth respectively.
