Rob Holderness has claimed that Wales head into the Commonwealth Games with the strongest squad that has ever been produced by the nation.
A target of six medals has been set for the team, and Holderness believes that it will be the responsibility of the more experienced swimmers to help the younger members of the group.
"We're a young team, but I believe we're the strongest we've ever been and I'm so proud to be part of it," the 23-year-old revealed in a statement from the Commonwealth Games Council for Wales.
"I'm here to win medals, and it makes it even more special that I'm able to represent Team Wales at the Commonwealth Games."
The swimming gets underway on Thursday in Glasgow.
