Bojana Jovanovski into round three

Bojana Jovanovski books her spot in the third round of the French Open with a 7-6 6-3 win over Caroline Wozniacki.

Bojana Jovanovski has booked her spot in the third round of the French Open courtesy of a 7-6 6-3 win over Caroline Wozniacki on Wednesday.

The opening set remained on serve until 3-3 when both players secured successive breaks, but it was decided on a tie-break with Jovanovski claiming it 7-2 after some impressive tennis.

Both players struggled with their serves in the second, however, with Jovanovski breaking in the early stages to take a commanding 3-0 lead, but her Danish opponent did manage to break back.

Another break at 2-3 was pivotal, with Jovanovski holding in the latter stages to book her spot in the next round of the competition.
