Roberto Bautista Agut has beaten Denis Istomin 6-4 6-3 in the second round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells.
Istomin saved four break points in game six, only to be broken in the last game of the set.
Bautista Agut then won four games in a row at the start of the second set, eventually winning 6-3.
The Spaniard will play either Jack Sock or Gilles Muller in the third round.
