Daniel Gimeno-Traver is out of the BNP Paribas Open courtesy of a 6-4 6-1 loss to Ernests Gulbis.

Ernests Gulbis is through to the third round of the BNP Paribas Open at Indian Wells after comfortably beating Daniel Gimeno-Traver today.

Gulbis fired down eight aces in the first set alone, and converted one of his three break points to win the opening set 6-4.

Gimeno-Traver struggled to contain the power of the Latvian, especially when Gulbis stepped it up another level in the second set.
