Jamie Murray will not be part of next week's ATP World Tour Finals at London's O2 Arena.
The Scot, along with his doubles partner John Peers, had been in contention for a place in the tournament.
However, the duo, who are currently 10th in the Emirates ATP doubles team rankings, lost 6-4 7-5 to fellow challengers Santiago Gonzalez and Scott Lipsky in Paris. As a result, Murray and Peers can no longer force their way into the top eight.
His omission means that there will be no British representation at the season-ending event, with his brother Andy being sidelined following surgery on a back injury.
