Ryan Harrison comes through in straight sets to advance to the third round of the Atlanta Open.

American Ryan Harrison is comfortably through to the third round of the Atlanta Open by beating Igor Sijsling.

The 21-year-old came through in straight sets 6-4 6-3 against his Dutch opponent.

After an early break for the underdog, Harrison came storming back and eventually took the first set 6-4 in just under 45 minutes.

Harrison's serve improved in the second set and he needed much less time to take it 6-3 and move into the third round.

He will face Michael Russell or Santiago Giraldo in the next round.
