Ana Ivanovic has claimed a place in the quarter-finals of the China Open after a convincing victory over world number three Vera Zvonareva.
The 23-year-old cruised to a 6-2 6-1 win at the National Tennis Stadium after starting on the front foot and seeing through two sets.
Russia's number two seed failed to trouble the Serbian and could only hold serve once in the match while dropping a double match point in the final game.
Ivanovic will next face either Poland's Agnieszka Radwanska or Swedish Sofia Arvidsson.
