Andy Murray's coach Ivan Lendl has insisted that the Briton can win his first Grand Slam in Monday's US Open final.
Murray reached his fifth final by defeating Tomas Berdych last night, and Lendl is confident that Murray has learned enough lessons from defeat to finally claim a major win.
"Andy is ready to go and win," The Mirror quotes Lendl as saying. "The lesson he learned from the Wimbledon final was a tough one but he learned it well and put it to good use in the Olympic final.
"You learn from certain losses and become depressed from other ones. But when you put it all out there and go hard, you can be proud of yourself.
"You can learn from it, and that is really important. Andy is now in his prime."
Murray is looking to end a 76-year wait for a British male to win a major tournament.
