Dominic Inglot makes it three British players in doubles last 16

British player Dominic Inglot and Robert Lindstedt reach the last 16 of the US Open with victory over Aliaksandr Bury and Denis Istomin.

Dominic Inglot and Robert Lindstedt have defeated Aliaksandr Bury and Denis Istomin to reach the third round of the men's doubles at the US Open.

The British and Swedish pairing came through in two tie-break sets to set up a last-16 showdown with Tommy Haas and Radek Stepanek.

Inglot's progression continues the impressive performances from British players at Flushing Meadows, with the win being sealed shortly after Colin Fleming and Treat Huey had come through their second-round encounter.

On Friday, Jamie Murray and partner John Peers progressed through to the same part of the draw as they look to follow up their final appearance at Wimbledon.
