Andy Murray: 'Gaining experience helps to keep calm out on the court'

British number one Andy Murray suggests that gaining experience has helped him to control his frustrations out on the court.

British number one Andy Murray has suggested that gaining experience has helped him to stay calm when under pressure out on the court.

The 28-year-old has long been noted for his outbursts of frustration, but has been making significant improvements in recent years to help curb his on-court irritation.

"I think a lot of it comes from within and also experience. It is learning what works and what doesn't and I am certainly not perfect in that respect. I could be better," said Murray, according to the Evening Standard.

"At the Australian Open this year was a good example of that. But, I just have a better perspective on life as a whole now than what I did when I was 21, 22 years old. That helps."

Murray has made it through to the quarter-finals of Wimbledon, where he will face unseeded Canadian Vasek Pospisil.
