Australia's Scott James: "I hurt my man parts really bad"

Australian snowboarder Scott James reveals that he hurt his "man parts" on the first run during the slopestyle heat on Thursday.

Australian snowboarder Scott James has revealed that he hurt his "man parts really bad" during Thursday's qualifying at the Winter Olympics.

The 19-year-old, who took a tumble coming off a jump on the first run, finished 11th out of 15 competitors in his slopestyle heat and will have to secure a top-four spot in Saturday's elimination round to make it to the 12-man final later that day.

"I had a little slam in my first run," the Sydney Morning Herald quotes him as saying. "It's a bit unfortunate but I'm looking forward to Saturday, keeping in a positive frame of mind.

"I was a little bit embarrassed, I wasn't going to tell anyone, but I hurt my man parts really bad."

James will also participate in the men's half-pipe.
