Team GB chef de mission Mike Hay has hailed the performance of the country's athletes at the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Great Britain have won three medals already at the Sochi Games and are guaranteed one more when the men's curling team take on Canada in the final on Friday.
Hay believes that his team have been successful in Russia and backs them for more glory in Pyeongchang in four years' time.
"I guess people are scurrying to look in the record books now," he told Team GB's official website. "I think whatever we finish up with here it's really exciting for Pyeongchang in 2018 because we've got so much talent across this time.
"We've had a number of people in top 10 places and making finals. Some will leave here disappointed and that just shows you the shift in expectation since Vancouver when Amy Williams brought home our only medal.
"I wanted to take the pressure off the athletes but I knew we had some very talented athletes. The credit also needs to go to our coaches, performance directors and their support staff, the shift since Vancouver is down to them and the work they do with the athletes inside some great programmes."
Lizzy Yarnold is the only British athlete to have won gold in Sochi so far.
