Peyton Manning has revealed that Emmanuel Sanders described himself as "OK" after sustaining a concussion during the Denver Broncos' defeat to the St Louis Rams.
The wide receiver was forced out of the 22-7 defeat to the NFC West side after taking a heavy hit from Rodney McLeod in the third quarter of the game.
After the game, the quarterback told reporters: "I feel a part of that, I probably could have held the safety a little longer, keep him from getting a jump on that. Every pass you throw you feel responsible for.
"I hope he's OK. Any time a player gets injured on the end of one of your passes my heart drops. He said was OK. I take that very seriously, I always have."
Sanders has scored six touchdowns for the Broncos this season.
