Denver Broncos offensive coordinator: 'Cody Latimer has physical edge'

Cody Latimer has the physicality to play in the NFL, according to Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase.

Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Adam Gase has insisted that second-round Draft pick wide receiver Cody Latimer already has the physical side to his game in order to stand up in the NFL.

Latimer is currently recovering from surgery on a metatarsal, but Gase said that he is confident the player can carry over his physicality from college to professional level.

"He's a physical specimen, and when he plays, he plays his size," Gase told the club's official website.

"To see him catch the ball as well as he does and then his blocking is unbelievable. I don't think I've really seen a college guy go after it the way he has in the past, and hopefully he just carries that over to this level."

Even with his injury, Latimer managed a 4.39s 40-yard dash at the Pro Day.
